Como resumen general estas son unidades centralizadas que reciben las señales y alarmas de todos los dispositivos que componen un Sistema de Detección de Humo, tales como Detectores, Estaciones Manuales, Módulos de Monitoreo entre otros y a su vez enviar señales para activación como Alarmas Audiovisuales,

La central también se encargan de la supervisión continua del sistema de detección es decir que también pueden alarmar fallas en el sistema como son cortos o fallas de señal de los elementos mencionados.

Es importante considerar todos los elementos que conforman este sistema.
